Elham Inspirational Program: Updates
Elham Palestine Inspiration Program - Overwhelming Response: Statistical Summary Report (April 2008)
The Universal Education Foundation (UEF) received almost 800 nomination applications for its Program “Elham Palestine” between December 11, 2007 and February 21, 2008. Despite the short time for accepting the nomination applications, due to school winter break, exams, political closures and administration challenges, the overwhelming response was an assurance that education professionals wanted to be heard. The belief that we all can contribute significantly toward making learning environments more conducive to our children’s well-being was uttered throughout many of the applications received. The focus of Elham for this year was on initiatives dealing with specific dimensions in education, health, media and information and communication technology (ICT) within schools. To assure transparency yet privacy, a statistical summary [pdf] of the received nomination applications is presented. All applications were entered into a database specifically designed for this analysis.
